Growing recommendations
- Start the seeds in a pot or seedling tray. Maintain optimal moisture and heat requirements.
- Once the plant reaches the 2nd-3rd true leaf stage, transplant outdoors or into a greenhouse. You will need a frame or netting for the plant to develop well. Keep in mind that it is a good idea to use a sturdy support if you are going to grow the fruits to the size shown in the pictures.
- While young, the seedling needs to be in a sunny and wind-protected location.
- Maintain a regular watering regime! Moderate watering at equal intervals . This will avoid bitterness in the fruits and you will have a lower risk of plant diseases. DO NOT water once a week with a large amount of water.
- The fruits of this variety have the best taste when they are about 20-30 cm in size.
- It can be consumed like a regular cucumber, in the form of a salad, or left in the garden as a "giant" crop.
- Avoid growing near other cucumbers or pumpkins to avoid cross-pollination with other varieties and loss of the variety's qualities.
