VENTS RT-10 – Room thermostat for automatic control of ventilation, heating and air conditioning

VENTS RT-10 is an easy and reliable solution for automating temperature control in rooms where ventilation, heating or air conditioning systems are operating. Instead of manually turning the fan or other equipment on and off, RT-10 monitors the temperature in the room and controls the electrical load according to a preset temperature threshold.

The desired temperature is set using the rotary knob on the front panel , with a working range from +10°C to +30°C . The thermostat can operate with different logics depending on the electrical connection – the contacts can open or close when the temperature rises or falls. This allows the RT-10 to be used both for ventilation/cooling control and in applications where heating control is required.

For example, when used with a fan, the controller can be configured to start the fan when the set temperature is reached and run until it drops below the set threshold. In another scheme, the fan can run until the preset temperature is reached.

The RT-10 has a relatively small hysteresis of about 0.5–1°C , which allows the temperature to be maintained in a narrow range around the selected value, without too frequent switching on and off of the connected equipment.

The housing is made of plastic , allowing for discreet mounting on the wall. The manufacturer recommends that the thermostat be mounted approximately 1.5 m above the floor , away from windows, doors, radiators and other sources that may affect the actual temperature measurement.

⚡ Maximum permissible load

The maximum load depends on the connection scheme used.

For a scheme with a higher permissible load:

✔️ Inductive load: up to 3 A

In the alternative scheme:

✔️ Active load: up to 6 A
✔️ Inductive load: up to 2 A.

When connecting a fan, the permissible inductive load must be taken into account, not only the maximum value for active load.

📋 Installation and use

1. Choose a suitable location for wall mounting.
2. The recommended height is about 1.5 m from the floor .
3. Do not place the RT-10 directly next to windows, doors, heaters or other heat sources.
4. Connect the thermostat according to the appropriate diagram for the desired operating logic.
5. Set the desired temperature using the rotary control.
6. After switching on, the system will automatically control the connected equipment based on the room temperature.

⚠️ Important: RT-10 operates with a mains voltage of 220–240 V. Installation and electrical connection must be carried out with the power supply disconnected and by a qualified person according to the manufacturer's wiring diagram. The thermostat is intended for indoor installation and must not be exposed to water, precipitation or direct water spray.

💡 Tip from Urban Botaniks: When controlling ventilation, place the RT-10 in a location that represents the actual average temperature of the room. Avoid direct airflow from a fan or air conditioner, as well as close proximity to lighting and heating devices - otherwise the thermostat may react to the local temperature instead of the actual room conditions.
