PVC foil is designed to provide reliable waterproofing in the construction of various water features. The material is elastic enough to follow the curves, terraces and unevenness of the terrain, while maintaining its strength and durability with prolonged use. This makes it suitable for both small decorative ponds and larger water projects.
With a thickness of 0.5 mm , the foil offers a good balance between strength and ease of installation. It forms a reliable water-tight barrier that prevents water from penetrating the soil and reduces water loss from the artificial reservoir. In addition, the material is weather-resistant and can be easily cut and shaped according to the specific project.
The film is suitable for use in garden ponds, decorative water areas, waterfalls and fountains. For maximum protection and longer service life, it is recommended to place it on a protective geotextile, which protects the membrane from being punctured by stones, roots and other sharp objects.

📋 Method of use
- Prepare the base by removing stones, roots, and other sharp objects.
- It is recommended to lay a protective geotextile under the foil.
- Spread the foil over the excavated pond and shape it according to the relief.
- Leave enough margin at the edges for secure fixing.
- Fill the reservoir gradually with water, smoothing out any wrinkles that form.
- Secure the edges with decorative stones, curbs or other suitable material.
⚠️ Important: To reduce the risk of mechanical damage, always use a protective geotextile under the foil. This significantly increases its service life and protects against punctures caused by stones or roots.
💡 Tip from Urban Botaniks: For more complex pond shapes, leave an extra margin of foil around the edges. This will make shaping easier and ensure a more reliable attachment after the final filling with water.
