Instructions for use:
- Select young growing shoots from your healthiest plants. If possible the growing tips can be sprayed with Clonex Mist once or twice in the week before cuttings are taken. Cut off shoot tips, each with four or five pairs of leaves, and remove the two lower pairs of leaves
- Always use a clean sharp knife or blade. Make a clean diagonal cut across the base of the cutting just below the lowest leaf node.
- Pour a small amount of Clonex rooting gel into a separate container for immediate use. Do not dip cut tissue into the original container, and do not return any unused Clonex rooting gel as this might contaminate the remaining gel.
- Immediately dip the cutting into Clonex rooting gel, about 15 mm, then insert the cutting into the propagation medium (rockwool, Jiffy, etc.) just deep enough to support the cutting.
- Spray the new cuttings with Clonex Mist and place in a propagator. The lid should be down and the vents closed.
- After 2-3 days spray the cuttings with Clonex Mist again and open the vents slightly.
Check the new roots after a few days – continue mist until the plant is established following potting up. If planting in soil, place soil carefully around the roots to avoid damaging them.
TOP TIP: The new cuttings should be kept in a covered propagator, and most plant species will thrive with propagation temperatures between 21-24°C with the humidity around 90%. After new roots appear your plant will need to be hardened off. Open the propagator slightly to allow a small amount of air in. Increase the amount of opening each day and finally remove the cover completely. When the young plants are growing strongly they can be placed into the larger rockwool cubes or potted into soil or coco. Place soil carefully around new roots to avoid damaging them.
