Recommendations for use
- Place the dry block in a suitable container and pour warm clean water over it, allowing it to swell.
- Once it has expanded, drain the excess water so that the substrate is not too wet.
- Plant the seeds or place the cuttings directly into the block.
- Maintain moderate humidity, but avoid overwatering — slightly dry is better than waterlogging.
- When the plants are sufficiently developed, the block can be planted directly into soil or a larger pot — there is no need to separate, which minimizes root damage.
- After use, the net cover breaks down to a biodegradable standard, so the product is environmentally friendly.
Benefits
The Jiffy-7 33mm block combines a substrate and a container in one, and when moistened, it becomes an ideal medium for germination and rooting of plants. The high porosity and appropriate chemical characteristics support root development, and the ecological net-wrap allows direct planting without stress for the plants.
